I decided it was time to catch up with technology and create a blog. I am writing about life with my wonderful family, our efforts to make responsible eco-friendly decisions, grief, my faith, and anything else that boggles my brain!
Green apples at the moment (fake ones!). I only have one really big on though and would love a couple smaller ones for seashells or other objects from nature.

Not sure if you have been there before, but just travel west about 9-ish miles and visit Seaside and WaterColor. You'll love those places. Oh, and be sure to have lunch or dinner at George's in Alys Beach just next door to Rosemary Beach.
I would fill those apothecary jars with seashells and driftwood. You'll have a chance to collect jars full of each at Rosemary Beach.

No, something small. You could go for a nature theme: acorns, stones, small pinecones. Or then you could do different size beads. Or maybe a theme of seashells and sand?
Or. what about a little color for the holidays or seasons? For Valentines--Red Dove Promise chocolates in one; pomegranites in one; and maybe red colored water in the other. Easter---pastel Hershey kisses, plastic or other easter eggs, and something else that picks up one of the pastel colors; July 4th---red, white, and blue, etc. And at Christmas, I love the look of Christmas balls in different sizes and perhaps three colors that coordinate with your house.
I hate this time of year. You put up Fall, Halloween, Harvest, then Christmas decorations.Then the middle of January comes and it's too early to put Spring things in, resulting in a lot of empty space. I keep looking at my mantel and wondering "what did I used to have up there?" I hope you come up with a good solution to the empty containers. I could use some inspiration also. Bridget

The only ones I have are in my bathroom and they hold my Q-tips, soap and cotton balls. That's about all I have come up with so far!

Ohhh... I like Kay's idea of using Hershey kisses, although they wouldn't last too long around these parts. lol

I have 3 very similar containers that I use to store flour, coffee, & sugar on my counter tops.
