Planting Grass for our Easter Basket

Last week, I wrote about creating a "Greener Easter Basket", so for today's tackle I am planting grass for Easter.

I picked up this tub at Lowe's for under $5.00. I figured when Easter is over we can reuse it for something else like icing down some cold drinks this summer. Then we can use it again next year. The only other things I needed were seeds, soil, water and light. It took less than 10 minutes! Here's hoping within a week we see some grass peeking through the soil!

I agree--this is a great idea. You could also use that tub to plant other plants and flowers once you harvest the grass for Easter!

Thanks for visiting me today!

I'm so glad you did too. That is a neat idea for the grass and made me realize I need to shop at Lowe's for one or two of those tubs. I was wanting to plant a couple of garden things and those would be perfect!

I checked out your blog and loved the way you hang pictures. I'll also have to try out how you hang a group of pictures. I am always boring and hang 2 or 3 together.

Thanks for your tips! :)
